Obama Berkata: Amerika salah satu negara Muslim terbesar di dunia / Obama Says: USA one of the largest Muslim Countries in the World

Barrack Husein Obama dalam perjalanan kunjungan negara timur tengah berkata “Jika anda melihat jumlah penduduk Muslim Amerika, maka Amerika akan menjadi salah satu negara muslim terbesar di dunia.”

Dalam wawancaranya dengan televisi Prancis “Canal Plus”, Obama berkata bahwa Amerika mungkin saja akan menjadi adalah negara Muslim. Perkataan Obama ini mungkin untuk mempersatukan pandangan negara Barat dan Timur Tengah terhadap Islam selain itu sebagai usaha untuk meredam pertikaian antara Israel dan Palestina. Sekaligus mengikis pandangan negatif beberapa pihak tentang Islam dan Amerika.

Benarkah pernyataan Barrack Husein Obama, bahwa Amerika menjadi salah satu negara dengan penduduk muslim terbesar di dunia ??

Saat ini, Amerika menduduki peringkat 34 dunia negara dengan penduduk muslim terbanyak. Berdasarkan Informasi melalui Google.com, jumlah penduduk Amerika yang beragama Islam berkisar 6 juta – 7 juta penduduk dengan tingkat pertumbuhan diatas 6% pertahun, menurut Muslim Internet Directory. Sedangkan penduduk Non-Muslim di Amerika berjumlah 307 juta penduduk dengan tingkat pertumbuhan 0,9% pertahun. Perbedaan selisih jumlah begitu jauh.

Jika dilihat dari pernyataan Obama kalo Amerika akan menjadi salah satu negara dengan penduduk muslim terbanyak, lalu berapa tahun yang diperlukan agar penduduk Muslim berjumlah sama atau melebihi jumlah penduduk Non-Muslim Amerika ??

Dengan tingkat pertumbuhan penduduk Non-Muslim 0,9% pertahun maka, jumlah penduduk Non-Muslim akan berlipatganda menjadi 614 juta penduduk pada tahun 2086. Lalu bagaimana dengan penduduk Muslim?? Berapa tahun yang penduduk Muslim perlukan untuk mencapai jumlah yang sama dengan penduduk Non-Muslim yang akan menjadi 614 juta jiwa ?? Penduduk Muslim di Amerika akan berlipatganda setiap 10 tahun. Dari data tersebut kita ketahui, bahwa jumlah penduduk Amerika Non-Muslim akan berlipatganda jumlahnya pada tahun 2086 menjadi 614 Juta penduduk, berarti populasi penduduk muslim akan mencapai atau melebihi angka 614 juta penduduk Non-Muslim pada tahun antara 2069 atau 2079. Angka tersebut mungkin akan berubah tergantung situasi, misalkan penyakit, bencana atau perang.

The growth rate for the non-Muslim population in the US is 0.9% and their population is about 307 million now.

How long will it take, with these two different growth rates, for the Muslim population in the US to equal that of the non-Muslim population?
